Compass Rose
Compass Rose (www.compassroseband.net) is a rock and roll band based in Bloomington, Indiana, that recently released their debut album entitled, “Run with the Moon”, which they recorded at Vibe 56 Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The band had the pleasure of working with an up and coming recording engineer named Scott Velazco in Nashville, Tennessee who expressed interest in working with the band after hearing several rough cuts of the band’s original songs. Velazco’s name can be found in the credits of Billboard Top 40 Singles, Grammy nominated albums, Grammy winning songs, and independent releases from dozens of artists.
The band plays regularly around the state of Indiana, and has become a fixture on the Strip in Nashville, Tennessee, playing such venues as Tootsies Orchid Lounge, Rippy’s, and Cadillac Ranch. Additionally, the band is beginning to attract the attention of the larger music venues that book national acts. On August 17th, the band will be opening for Stevie Nicks at the Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana.
