About LMF

Mayberry meets Woodstock is the best way to describe the Linton Music Festival (LMF). It's small town meets big festival as nearly 30 artists grace 3 stages over 3 days in the rural Indiana city of Linton (pop. 6,000) and home to The Goose Pond, one of the Nation's largest wetland preservation projects. This year’s festival will take place September 3rd-5th in the shaded confines of Humphreys Park. From garage bands to hot independent artists, the music offerings are very diverse with genres ranging from indie rock to bluegrass to Jazz.

Last year, over 10,000 people showed up from all over the Midwest to take in the sights and sounds of LMF. The festival provides itself in being a free, non-exclusive event that offers entertainment for all ages. Camping is available in several local areas close to the festival grounds.

Linton is located in Greene County, a musically rich area with several talented local artists and bands. These musicians take the stage every Labor Day weekend along with bands from all across the United States (LA, Chicago, Louisville, Florida, Oklahoma, and more). Last year's show featured bands like No More Kings(Astonish Records), Aranda (Astonish Records), The Elms, Healing Sixes, No1Zero, and The Bob & Tom Show regular, Duke Tumatoe, to name a few.

The best part of the Linton Music Festival is that it is completely free to the public! The festival operates as a non-profit entity that strives to promote the musical arts and the City of Linton thanks to grants from the Indiana Arts Commission and Bloomington Arts Council. Get away from the hustle and bustle and plan your Labor Day weekend at the Linton Music Festival!
